One hour written Paper Comprises Of 3 Tests:
1.Aptitude Test-20 Questions (20 mins)

2.Technical Objective Test - 20 Questions (20 mins) : C, C++, JAVA , DBMS and OS

3.Coding Test - 1 Question(20 mins) : careercup.com will help you better than me.:)



2 Rounds of Technical Interviews :
Interviewers were so active that they were bombarding me with questions

First Interview : 45 mins
1. Deadlock avoidance algorithm(Banker's algorithm)
2. Page Replacement Algorithm
3. Discussion on Coding Ques of written test
4. Some DBMS Ques and SQL Queries
5. Compiler Stages to execute the c program, symbol table
6. Discussion on how a program executes(how it loads in main memory, os page hit and miss concepts, Compiler preprocessing loading and linking)
7. Discussion on College Projects.
8. Intersection on two list in java
9. Why do you want to join DE Shaw?
10. Some Puzzles(water jug problem)

Second Interview: 45 mins
1. Inorder traversal of tree
2. Some questions on oop's concepts
3. Join in DBMS
4. Static and Dynamic loading
5. Difference between Calloc and malloc
6. Allocation of memory on Heap and stack
7. Compile time and Run time polymorphism

Third Interview : (Optional)
After 2 technical rounds they shortlist the candidates for Third/HR round. In my case they skipped the HR round and direct gave me the final offer. :)
